I started just to occupy my time, turning my garage at the back of the house into my workshop. As I learn more of this fascinating craft, I find my projects are getting even more intricate. I love to push myself to create and complete challenging projects. The finer the cut, the more time consuming the details, the visual appeal of fine wood, all stimulate my senses in joy at seeing my vision complete and in front of me.
While I order patterns from all around the world, I am now also creating my own patterns and can make just about any design that you require. With each pattern I create and complete, a new and better one comes from it.
I have a dream to create my own Grandfather Clock. I expect that it will take me over 1000 hours to complete but I know it will be time well spent. I would also like to build a model Stern Wheeler, though finding a pattern has been a real challenge.
